How to Coach Josh N (my friend, or ANYONE-study36"BLS"00888) on Writing Humorous Versions:

1.) Don't go over the top with sex jokes - you may employ MILD sex u al humour but don't go too far with it.
The trick is not to be dirty-minded - but genuinely funny.

2.) Read through other Humorous Versions and be internally consistant with other Humorous Versions. Keep the same established parody names, unless liberty is allowed, such as getting different names for Coruscant or Amidala.

3.) Stay along the lines of the Script or movie or show, and parallel it without going off in all kinds of crazy distracted directions - keep it focused on parodying the part of the story that we are on, or that you are writing a parody of.

4.) Thus: Movies and shows: In Script Format.
Books: Partially Script format, partially narrative prose, constantly (or as often or little as the contributing author wishes) bouncing between Script format and prose, between one and the other to keep it fresh and funny. In the books, try to steer each one back to parodying the Novel at hand as you continue them and focus (instead of detracting from and veering wildly off from the Novel you are Writing a parody of.

5.) Teamwork. Private message each other and me with story ideas, collaboration, but being part of a private message chain is NOT a requirement for writing portions of any Humorous Version.

6.) Don't touch either the HALO Humorous Version or The Last Jedi Humorous Version. The HALO Humorous Version (HV) is the sole intellectual property of Darth_Revvin and only he may write it if he returns unless he ever returns and gives others permission to help, which I strongly doubt, for I believe he may have the whole thing written already. Once the HALO 1 HV is fully posted maybe someday, if Revvin does not also post a HALO 2 HV (and if he returns I will ask him if he has one ready and written to post, or if he plans on writing or posting one) and if he tells me there is none or any plans for his writing or posting one, then we may all contribute to writing HALO 2-HALO 5 and HALO Infinite Humorous Versions, but that may yet be for some time. The Last Jedi Humorous Version is still under construction elsewhere out of our reach at least until September 8, 2028 AD, and The Force Awakens Humorous Version must be completed before The Last Jedi Humorous Version is finished.

7.) Do not share ideas or scenes or chat much in the HV threads themselves, they are for the Story-it should not be interrupted and I WILL delete excess posts that are not story posts. (You may make an apropos comment on your own post as a pre-or post script, or share a brief idea or short blurb of the story that you think should be included in a thread and I will do my best to edit it in to the story if I think it appropriate to do so.)

8.) Posting a comment by itself is also ok. And so is double, triple, quadruple, etc. - posting and necroposting is not a crime and don't be afraid of "link-begging" either. You're among friends here.
